VOSWINKEL Installation

Avoid twisting the hose. Hoses must be installed in such a way there is no resultant tensile stress except from the own weight of hose (see Fig. left).

Wherever possible hosepipes should be installed in accordance with their natural position, whereas the bending radius must not be less than the minimum permitted bending radius (see Fig. right).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the hose is not be installed bent, select a length that prevents the design bending of the hose from starting until after a length of approx. 1.5 d; if necessary, install an antikinking device (see Figs. left and right).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Use suitable fittings or connection pieces to prevent additional loads on the hose (see Figs. left and right).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Avoid external mechanical effects on the hose, and prevent the hoses from rubbing against each other or other components, by installing and attaching them correctly (see Fig. left).

If necessary, secure the hoses with protective coverings. Always cover sharp edges (see Fig. right).

The above requirements, shown here as extracts, must be complied with to guarantee the hosepipes' reliability and to ensure that their service life is not shortened by additional stress.
