Step 1)

Select the appropriate components, fitting, socket and hydraulic hose according to required conditions of use. 

ATTENTION! If the hose and the hose fitting have different nominal pressures, only the smaller nominal pressure must be used for the hose line! An ECOVOS fitting may not be mounted on a hose that is not specially rated for this type of fitting by VOSWINKEL. 

Step 2)

Mounting and handling of the selected components. Cut the hose to length so that it is rectangular and straight. If a skive fitting is used, select the correct skive length from the press dimension table and remove the rubber shell to the wire wrap. 

ATTENTION! Be careful not to damage the wire wrap. When mounting, always ensure that the socket is fully pushed onto the hose and that the nipple with the attached socket is inserted in the hose until the limit stop of the socket.

Step 3)

Press-mounting of the pre-assembled hose line. First, select the standard crimp diameter from the press dimension table for the hose and the selected socket. Then select the appropriate crimping jaws for the press and crimp the fitting. 

ATTENTION! Select a set of crimping jaws so that the smallest closing diameter comes closest to the crimp diameter.

After crimping:

- Check the crimp diameter 

- Check the reduction of the nipple inside diameter according to VWN VS 1.2

- Any hose line that is not factory-mounted should be pressure tested for a least 30 seconds with the appropriate test pressure
